The Farmstay
Tynant
Bed & Breakfast farmstay accommodation is nestled in the
Myrrhee Valley beside the Boggy
Creek. Our small farmlet is an ideal location for both family getaways
and secluded romantic retreats. Perfectly situated for touring the King
Valley Food & Wine Region, Tynant is a destination in its own
right. Easy travel distance from
Melbourne. Many of our guests barely leave the peace and tranquillity of
the property. Our 55 acre farm runs breeding cattle and deer, with a
small menagerie of animals consisting of goats, sheep, cats, dogs,
chickens, turkeys, fish and guinea pigs.
Our
hand reared goats are very friendly, the kids will love them. On those
hot summer days, escape the heat with a swim in the Boggy Creek.
Experience a touch of farm life by feeding the cows or chooks, or just
relax on the veranda watching the native birds pass by. The farm is
often visited by Regent Honeyeaters from the reserve in the Warby Range
State Park across the valley. Native birds which regularly
fly
through include Kookaburras, Tawny Frog Mouths, two varieties of
Honeyeaters, King parrots, Wattle Birds, Galahs, Cockatoos, Rosellas,
and a family of Eagles on the hill.
Along
with all the farm animals, the property is often visited by native
animals. Kangaroos and wallabies often pass through. There are two
resident echidnas, and wombats sometimes show up too. Possums in the
trees and bats hang out with us at times as well. With the Warby Range
State Park close by, there are plenty of opportunities to experience
Australia's natural beauty. As a farm stay style bed &
breakfast,
pets are most welcome. All we ask is that you let us know if
you
will be bringing your pets along when you book your holiday. Anton,
Kylie, and the kids look forward to sharing their piece of high country
paradise with you.
